All components have been engineered to withstand the toughest of environments with individual driveline components for the Rotocult sourced internationally. Design and engineering has come about after three years of research and development by Rotocult Engineering using some of the most sophisticated CAD equipment available. There are five gearboxes designed into the Dual Rotocult using planetary gear systems with case hardened steel ensuring that the drive train is able to withstand the most extreme conditions. Each gearbox can be removed and replaced as modular unit for ease of maintenance or modification.

A specialized Heat Treatment process "Austempered  Ductile Iron" (ADI) is employed using Oil, Gas and Water tempering to create blade components of outstanding durability. ADI is the result of a two stage heat treatment process which enhances the properties of nodular iron. Stage one is the 'austempering' process during which the castings become austenitic, meaning the metal matrix becomes saturated with carbon. Stage two tempers the castings into an exceptional grade metal of extreme hardness due to the combined, saturation of carbon and the tempering and quenching. What this means is that Rotocult components are manufactured using state of the art technology and processes that are proven in the Mining, Agriculture, Transport and Earthmoving industries.
